Grayscale Files Registration for First US Worldcoin ETF

Crypto asset manager Grayscale has filed an S-1 registration statement for its first US Worldcoin ETF. The proposed fund, which will list on the Nasdaq under the symbol GWLD, aims to give investors a way to gain exposure to the WLD token through an exchange-traded product.

The WLD token is native to World, a project that uses biometric verification to distinguish humans from bots and was founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Grayscale's proposed ETF adds to its existing 17 crypto-related exchange-traded products, including those tracking Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), Ether (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Chainlink (LINK).

The ETF will be custodied by BitGo Bank & Trust, with BNY Mellon serving as administrator and transfer agent. CSC Delaware Trust Company will serve as a trustee.
