Robinhood Sees Future in Real-World Assets, Partnerships Underrated
Robinhood's CEO, Vladimir Tenev, believes that the future of cryptocurrencies lies in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA).
In a recent interview with CNBC, Tenev stated that assets like memecoins are not noteworthy and that traditional finance and crypto are moving towards a convergence phase.
Tenev emphasized that if an asset has no utility, it means it's not productive, making the creation of hundreds of memecoins pointless.
Meanwhile, Geoff Kendrick, Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered, thinks that Robinhood's partnership with Uniswap is being underestimated. Kendrick highlighted that this partnership demonstrates Uniswap as a high-quality DeFi protocol trusted by large traditional companies like Robinhood.
