Bitcoin Forecast Plummets to $55K Amid Dollar Strength
Markus Thielen, founder of crypto analytics firm 10x Research, has issued a bearish outlook for Bitcoin (BTC), predicting it could fall to approximately $55,000 before finding a bottom later this year.
The forecast comes amid a strengthening U.S. dollar and shifting expectations for Federal Reserve policy under new Chair Kevin Warsh, which Thielen believes will weigh on speculative assets like BTC.
Thielen points out that September is historically a weak month for Bitcoin, often followed by a rally in October, suggesting this pattern may repeat in the current cycle. He expects global liquidity flows and the macroeconomic calendar to also contribute to lower prices.
The analyst emphasizes that this would be a tactical correction within a longer-term cycle rather than a structural collapse, advising investors to remain patient rather than panicked.
