Gemini Introduces Agentic Trading with AI-Powered Automation

Gemini, a leading crypto exchange, has introduced Agentic Trading, an innovative AI-powered trading tool that enables users to connect various AI models to automate complex trading strategies on the platform.

The feature leverages the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that provides direct API access for AI agents to execute actions on behalf of users. With MCP, users can seamlessly integrate their preferred AI models, including Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT, to automate trades from simple orders to intricate multi-leg positions.

The exchange has launched with three initial modular Trading Skills modules: Get Market Data for real-time price information, Find the Spread for bid-ask analysis, and Retrieve Candles for historical price data. These pre-built functions enable AI agents to access a wide range of market data and execute complex trading tasks.
