A Bitcoin wallet that had been inactive for over 12 years has unexpectedly transferred 35.55 BTC, sparking renewed interest in the cryptocurrency's dormant assets.
The transfer, valued at approximately $2.54 million, was made yesterday and is believed to be a strategic move by the wallet's owner to demonstrate their continued control over the funds.
The wallet had previously been listed as a defendant in a New York lawsuit filed by an American man and two companies, who claim ownership of nearly 3.8 million dormant Bitcoins.
