Tether Launches Self-Custody App with Free Bitcoin Claims

Tether, a popular cryptocurrency issuer, has introduced a new feature in its self-custody app, tether.wallet, aimed at promoting Bitcoin adoption and making self-custody more accessible. The company has launched a Bitcoin faucet within the app, allowing users to claim small amounts of BTC directly into their wallets.

The feature is designed to be user-friendly, with no technical knowledge required. To claim free sats, users simply need to download the tether.me app, create a self-custodial wallet, and reply to Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino's post on X, tagging @btc and including their @tether.me handle.

The BTC faucet is a key component of Tether's effort to make self-custody less technical for everyday users. By providing new users with a free opportunity to receive and transfer actual Bitcoin, not just testnet coins, the feature expands on this concept.
