Elon Musk's X has rolled out Smart Cashtags, a new feature that brings live market data and charts directly into the platform. The introduction of Smart Cashtags is part of the company's broader push into financial tools, as it continues to develop payments and other in-app services.

The feature, which is currently limited to iPhone users in the US and Canada, allows users to access real-time price action and related posts for supported assets without leaving the app. When a user searches for or posts a cashtag or contract address, X suggests matching stocks or crypto tokens, enabling the user to choose the exact asset.

The rollout supports a range of widely followed equities and crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, USDT, and USDC. Market pages for stocks such as Coinbase, MicroStrategy, Tesla, and Nvidia are also included. This integration places real-time financial data next to the posts that often drive discussion among traders and investors on X.

The launch of Smart Cashtags is seen as an early step in X's effort to become a stronger destination for finance and crypto communities. The company's vision extends beyond charts, with trading being made more seamless for users already following market news on the platform.
