As part of this endeavor, the company will utilize its NIO computing node integrated into the Aventura-1 rocket's onboard systems to execute a blockchain transaction on Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network.

The transaction involves minting a non-fungible token tied to an artwork by Argentinian artist Eugenio Cuttica, which is painted onto the rocket's second stage. The NFT will be put up for sale while the rocket is in Low Earth Orbit, showcasing the seamless execution of financial transactions in space.
