CLARITY Act Passage Uncertainty Fuels Crypto Market Concerns
The CLARITY Act is a significant piece of legislation aimed at regulating the cryptocurrency industry in the United States. If it fails to pass by July 4, experts predict that institutional investors will not abandon crypto.
According to Matt Hougan, CIO of Bitwise, institutions are long-term holders of Bitcoin and do not plan to withdraw their investments even if the Clarity Act does not become law. This is because they have confidence in Bitcoin's future value and see it as a hedge against currency debasement.
As regulatory uncertainty may slow adoption in the US, crypto companies may consider moving operations to more favorable regions like Dubai, Singapore, or Hong Kong.
