Origins Network Powers Decentralized Compute with PinGo AI Partnership
Origins Network has made a significant step towards revolutionizing decentralized compute infrastructure for AI developers with its recent partnership with PinGo AI.
The growing demand for advanced computing power in AI development has led to major technology companies acquiring expensive hardware, limiting access for smaller participants. This partnership aims to address this issue by providing an open-source distributed computing center that utilizes idle global hardware.
PinGo AI's decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) collects spare CPU/GPU power from around the world, donated by individuals called 'Pins'. The platform enables nodes (CPUs/GPUs) to form clusters with no central authority, providing a completely decentralized cloud-based model. This allows for flexible adjustment of overhead costs and machine learning security/location parameters according to individual customer requirements.
The partnership is part of a growing trend in the Web3 space, where similar infrastructure models are becoming prevalent. The move is expected to make it easier, faster, and more practical to access computational resources globally, creating a fair, equitable, affordable, and sustainable way for people around the world to develop AI applications.
