Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has released a memoir titled 'Freedom of Money', which offers his personal account of building one of the world's largest crypto exchanges.

The book details Zhao's journey from early jobs and entry into technology to launching Binance in 2017 and scaling it during a period of rapid global adoption of digital assets.

Zhao served a four-month prison sentence in 2024 after pleading guilty to violations related to anti-money laundering laws as part of a broader settlement with U.S. authorities, which included billions of dollars in penalties for the company.
