Hashed Open Finance Unveils Maroo Testnet, Pioneering Korea's Digital Financial Order

Hashed Open Finance has made a significant stride in the development of blockchain-based finance with the launch of Maroo's public testnet. This marks a major milestone for Korea as it becomes one of the first countries to design a public blockchain around its own currency rather than relying on the U.S. dollar.

The Maroo platform features a unique dual-track model, allowing both everyday users and regulated financial services to coexist on a single infrastructure. The 'Open Path' is available to anyone, while the 'Regulated Path' requires prior verification for transactions that need it.

Maroo's Programmable Compliance Layer (PCL) enforces compliance as code at the moment of transaction, blocking non-compliant transactions instantly. This ensures that the platform meets regulatory requirements and adapts to new laws and service policies without redesigning the core protocol.
