Manhattan Judge Dismisses Binance Lawsuit, Citing Lack of Evidence

A federal judge in Manhattan has dismissed a civil lawsuit against cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ). The lawsuit, filed by 535 plaintiffs, alleged that Binance had aided 64 terrorist attacks worldwide between 2017 and 2024. However, the court found that the plaintiffs failed to provide convincing evidence of Binance's direct involvement in these attacks.

Judge Jeannette Vargas noted that while Binance may have been aware of its exchange being used for terrorist funding, this did not constitute a direct relationship with the groups involved. The court also criticized the lengthy complaint, stating that it was unnecessary and overly detailed.
