Google Identifies iOS Exploit Chain Targeting Unpatched iPhones
A new iOS vulnerability has been discovered by Google researchers, who have dubbed it DarkSword. This exploit chain targets unpatched iPhones running iOS versions 18.4 through 18.7.
The malware uses six vulnerabilities to deploy a JavaScript-based data stealer called Ghostblade, which specifically targets cryptocurrency exchange apps and popular crypto wallets.
Ghostblade is designed for quick data theft rather than long-term surveillance, collecting sensitive user information before deleting its temporary files and terminating itself.
