CoinDCX Co-Founders Arrested in ₹71.6 Lakh Fraud Case
The Thane police have taken significant action against cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX by arresting two of its co-founders. The move comes after an FIR was registered on March 16 at the Mumbra police station in connection with cheating, criminal breach of trust, and fraud.
A 42-year-old insurance advisor filed a complaint alleging that he was lured into investing ₹71.6 lakh between August 2025 and March this year by promises of high returns and a franchise opportunity associated with CoinDCX. The complainant made cash and online transactions totaling ₹71,60,015, but the invested amount was not returned.
The arrested co-founders were apprehended from Bengaluru on Saturday and brought to Thane for further investigation. A local court remanded them to police custody until Monday.
