SYRUP Price Dives Amid Broader Market Weakness, Maple Finance's TVL Growth Fails to Boost Token

The price of SYRUP, the token for Maple Finance, fell sharply over the past 24 hours, reaching as low as $0.20 on Thursday before recovering to around that level again.

This decline was part of a broader market downturn, with crypto market capitalization excluding stablecoins declining by approximately $90.71 billion since July 15th.

However, Maple Finance's TVL growth suggests that the protocol is still attracting capital, increasing by roughly $173 million in just 48 hours, according to DeFiLlama.

This divergence between protocol activity and SYRUP's price may indicate that traders are reducing their exposure to derivatives as volatility increases.
