Coinbase Expands Australian Operations with New Licence

Coinbase has made significant strides in expanding its presence in Australia after obtaining an Australian Financial Services Licence.

The licence was granted by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), paving the way for Coinbase to offer its services to local users.

Initially, Coinbase will provide crypto and equity perpetuals, allowing users to trade these assets with leverage. The company has also announced plans to introduce futures and options trading in the near future.
