Renegade Protocol Suffers Loss in V1 Arbitrum Deployment Attack
The decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Renegade has fallen victim to an attack on its V1 Arbitrum deployment. According to reports, a legacy version of the protocol deployed earlier this morning was compromised, resulting in a significant financial loss.
Approximately $209,000 was lost in the attack, but fortunately, a white hat hacker intervened and returned about $190,000 to Renegade's systems. This recovery effort has ensured that all affected users will receive full compensation for their losses.
Renegade has confirmed that the issue only existed in the V1 Arbitrum deployment and not in other versions of the protocol (V1 Base, V2 Arbitrum, V2 Base). As a precautionary measure, all infrastructure supporting V1 Arbitrum trading has been suspended to prevent any further risk to funds. Integrators do not need to take any action.
