NEAR and Ledger Join Forces for Post-Quantum Security
NEAR Protocol has partnered with Ledger to advance post-quantum security standards at the protocol level. This collaboration aims to reinforce hardware wallet security in anticipation of future quantum computing threats.
The partnership centers around the NIST-approved FIPS-204 signing scheme, which is a key component in securing digital transactions.
As part of this effort, Ledger recently launched its Nano Gen5 hardware wallet, designed with enhanced security features and a user-centric design for storing cryptocurrencies.
