Institutional Investors Prioritize Diversification Over Speculation in Crypto

A new report by CoinShares has shed light on the motivations behind institutional investment in cryptocurrency. The survey, which covered $1.3 trillion in assets and drew 26 institutional responses, found that a significant majority of institutions are investing in crypto for diversification purposes.

The report notes that speculation, which was once the leading reason for institutional investors to hold digital assets, now accounts for only 15% of allocations. In contrast, diversification and client demand have jumped from 36% to 63%, indicating a shift towards more fundamental investment strategies.
