TrustedVolumes Attackers Attempt to Launder Millions

The TrustedVolumes platform suffered a major attack on May 7, with approximately $6.7 million lost. Since then, ChainCatcher has been tracking the activities of the attackers.

Monitoring data from PeckShield shows that the attackers have attempted to launder some of the stolen funds through various cryptocurrency transactions.

A total of $278,000 has already been laundered, with 10.2 ETH ($23,600) deposited into TornadoCash and 110 ETH ($250,000) cross-chain swapped into BTC via THORChain.
