Solo Satoshi Unveils Bitaxe Turbo Touch Open-Source Bitcoin Miner
Solo Satoshi, a small but ambitious mining hardware company from Texas, has introduced the Bitaxe Turbo Touch, an innovative open-source touchscreen bitcoin miner designed for home users and hobbyists.
The device stands out for its exceptional performance, delivering over double the hashrate of comparable miners on the market. With a power consumption of approximately 43 watts, the Bitaxe Turbo Touch offers an attractive balance between efficiency and mining prowess.
Under the hood, the miner features dual BM1370 ASIC chips, which are also used in industrial-scale setups like the Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro. This allows the device to achieve a remarkable efficiency of around 18 joules per terahash. When overclocked, the Bitaxe Turbo Touch can reach an impressive 3 TH/s.
The miner's 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen provides real-time network and mining data, with eight rotating displays showing essential metrics such as hashrate performance, bitcoin price, block height, and recently mined blocks. Network information is sourced from mempool.space, a popular blockchain data explorer.
