Institutional Investors Show Increased Interest in Solana and XRP
Institutional investors have been showing increased interest in certain cryptocurrencies, with Solana (SOL) and XRP being the latest examples. Data from multiple reports indicates that net inflows into Solana-focused ETFs reached $19.06 million on March 4, while XRP products added another $4.19 million.
These numbers may seem small compared to the massive volumes typically seen in bitcoin-linked products, but they are notable for what they suggest: asset managers are increasingly willing to take directional exposure beyond BTC and ETH through regulated wrappers.
This trend may indicate that portfolio construction in crypto is becoming more granular. As the market continues to rotate between narratives, with mid-caps occasionally experiencing sharp price movements on catalysts while large caps fade, institutional investors are showing a willingness to take on more risk.
