Elliptic Secures $120 Million Funding Round for Crypto Analytics Platform

Elliptic Enterprises Ltd., a leader in cryptocurrency analytics, has announced a significant funding milestone with the closure of a $120 million Series D round. The late-stage investment was led by growth equity firm One Peak, with additional contributions from Nasdaq Ventures, Deutsche Bank, and the British Business Bank.

The injection of capital values Elliptic at $670 million, underscoring its growing importance in the crypto industry. The company's cloud-based platform, Data Fabric, is a critical component of its offerings, providing real-time analysis of over 21 million cryptocurrency transactions per day. By combining this data with historical records dating back over a decade, Elliptic empowers institutions to refine their fraud prevention controls and identify illicit activity.

Elliptic's suite of transaction monitoring tools enables clients to detect suspicious transactions, including those involving malicious wallet addresses or attempts to hide the source of funds. The company's Lens product generates alerts for regulatory compliance teams, providing a centralized interface to review flagged payments. In cases where more complex incidents require investigation, Elliptic's Investigator tool can automatically generate visual graphs to aid in cross-chain analysis.

The funding round has been met with enthusiasm from investors and industry stakeholders alike. Nasdaq Ventures head Gary Offner noted that as digital assets become increasingly integrated into the global financial system, trusted infrastructure is essential for institutions to manage compliance and risk effectively. Elliptic's platform plays a pivotal role in providing this critical infrastructure.

With an installed base of over 700 organizations, including major exchange operators responsible for more than two-thirds of global cryptocurrency transaction volume, Elliptic is poised to continue driving innovation in the industry.
