Oman Requires Licensed Miners to Join National Mining Pool

Oman has launched a national mining pool that all licensed cryptocurrency miners in the country must join.

The project was initiated by Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in collaboration with Frontier Technologies, with Enegix Global providing the technological platform and liquidity infrastructure.

In its initial phase, the pool aims to consolidate around 10 EH/s of computing power. Since 2022, investments in mining and data center infrastructure in the Salalah Free Zone have exceeded $700 million, including a $370 million hydro-cooled mining facility.
