Ancient Bitcoin Wallets Stir Market Speculation with Sudden Movements
Several ancient Bitcoin wallets have reactivated in recent days, moving millions of dollars in funds amidst the cryptocurrency's declining value.
The wallets, inactive for over a decade, have sent significant amounts to Coinbase, leading analysts to speculate about possible profit-taking by early investors, known as 'whales.'
One wallet, created on January 4, 2014, moved 103.96 BTC (approximately $7.8 million) after over 12 years of inactivity. The funds were initially worth around $85,559 and have now surpassed a 9,044% return.
