Polygon Launches Agent CLI Toolkit for AI-Powered On-Chain Finance

Polygon (MATIC) has introduced the Agent CLI toolkit, a comprehensive solution for AI agents to manage on-chain activities. The toolkit integrates multiple functionalities into a single package, allowing agents to operate autonomously and securely on the Polygon network.

The Agent CLI provides session-scoped smart contract wallets with configurable spending limits, built-in swap and bridge functionality via Polygon's Trails routing system, and native support for the ERC-8004 identity standard. This enables AI agents to accumulate portable reputation scores and verify their identities before transacting.

The toolkit also features a security architecture that keeps private keys encrypted at rest, reducing the risk of prompt injection attacks. Additionally, it allows agents to pay for API calls and data feeds per-request using the x402 protocol, eliminating the need for API keys or subscriptions.
