Arthur Hayes Puts $100K on Hyperliquid to Outperform Solana by Year-End

Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, has made a significant wager on Hyperliquid (HYPE), predicting that it will outperform Solana (SOL) by year-end. In an X post, Hayes challenged Kyle Samani, Chairman of Forward Industries and a long-time Solana believer, to a charity bet. If HYPE surpasses SOL in USD terms from now until the end of the year, Hayes has pledged $100,000 to a chosen charity.

This is not the first time Hayes has expressed his confidence in HYPE's future price action. Earlier this year, he predicted that the token could reach $150 by August 2026, nearly 5x its current price. Since then, HYPE has surged over 2.4x, flipping Dogecoin (DOGE) to enter the top 10 cryptos by market capitalization.

Market observers are re-evaluating their predictions as HYPE continues to rally. Analyst Ali Martinez previously warned of a potential top for HYPE but has since revised his opinion, citing new all-time highs and price discovery momentum. He now predicts that HYPE could reach $97 or even $163 in the near future.
