Curve Founder Warns of DeFi Vulnerabilities: Single Points of Failure Must Be Addressed
Michael Egorov, founder of Curve, recently highlighted the growing issue of DeFi vulnerabilities in a post on platform X. The rise of decentralized finance has led to an increased risk of security breaches, which can have severe consequences for users.
The recent incidents involving Aave and rsETH are prime examples of this problem. Although multiple parties claimed that their systems were operating normally, users were still unable to withdraw funds. This situation raises concerns about infrastructure dependency and dispersed responsibility.
Egorov emphasized the importance of reducing single points of failure risks beforehand through decentralization and standardization. He also stressed the need for sharing best practices and security experiences among ecosystem organizations.
