Sui Blockchain Experiences Second Day of Network Disruptions
The Sui layer-1 blockchain experienced another network disruption on Friday, causing a temporary stall in block production. This is the second day in a row that the network has faced issues.
The issue was caused by the interaction of the 1.72 release, which introduced address balances and gas charging logic. The long-term software fix for this issue has now been implemented by a majority of Sui validators.
Normal activity resumed after over three hours and 30 minutes. This is not the first time that the Sui network has faced disruptions - in January, the network went offline for over six hours due to a consensus bug.
