FTX Distributes $600 Million to Creditors Amid Ongoing Bankruptcy
FTX, the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange, is set to make an additional distribution of $600 million to its creditors on July 31. This payout marks a significant step in FTX's bankruptcy process, which has seen the company repaying creditors in stages.
Sunil, a representative of FTX creditors, wrote on X that despite the payment, some creditors in certain regions remain excluded from the distribution due to participation restrictions.
Forty-five jurisdictions, including China, Egypt, and Russia, are still subject to these restrictions. The FTX creditor payout is being closely watched by markets for its potential impact on liquidity and reinvestment demand.
