Vitalik Buterin's Ethereum Sales Continue Amid Ongoing Price Slump

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has continued his trend of selling large amounts of Ethereum (ETH) amidst the cryptocurrency's ongoing price slump. On-chain data from Arkham Intelligence and Lookonchain reveals that he has withdrawn another multi-million dollar batch from Aave, likely with the intention to sell.

According to the data, Buterin had already disposed of over 571 ETH worth around $1.13 million at the time of the initial report. The new withdrawal adds to a total of approximately $18 million in ETH sold by Buterin in February alone.

The recent sales come as the price of ETH struggles below $2,000. Despite some recovery efforts, the cryptocurrency has continued its downtrend since peaking at close to $5,000 in late August 2025.
