Crypto.com Data Collection Lawsuit Partially Allowed to Proceed
A US District Court for the Northern District of California has made a ruling on a proposed class action lawsuit against Crypto.com.
The lawsuit alleges that the cryptocurrency exchange operator disclosed users' personal information without consent, violating California's privacy laws.
Judge Edward M. Chen partially allowed the claim to proceed, finding that the plaintiffs have adequately pleaded a claim under the pen-register provisions of the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA).
