Aave Advances Recovery Efforts Following $290 Million Hacking Incident
Aave, a leading decentralized finance (DeFi) platform, has made significant progress in its recovery efforts following the $290 million hacking incident. The protocol has successfully completed the liquidation of the attacker's positions opened after the April 18th vulnerability on Aave V3.
As part of the second phase of the recovery plan, Aave will burn the liquidated rsETH assets to balance the rsETH supply that was allegedly inflated by the attacker. This step is crucial for the gradual reopening of the bridge withdrawal mechanism and restoring normal operations in the system.
