Galaxy Unveils $5M Plan to Shield Bitcoin from Quantum Threats
Galaxy Digital has launched a $5 million initiative to address potential threats from quantum computers to Bitcoin's cryptographic security.
The Galaxy Quantum Readiness Initiative will fund research, technical development, and expert review to protect Bitcoin's cryptographic security before risks become urgent.
The program aims to provide grants of up to $5 million for developers to build post-quantum solutions for Bitcoin, including wallet migration tools, transaction upgrades, and security reviews.
A Quantum Advisory Council has been established to oversee the initiative and evaluate proposals, comprising experts in quantum computing and cryptography.
