Magic Eden Deprecates Wallet Service Amid Corporate Pivot
The Magic Eden wallet, a popular multi-chain wallet for storing Solana and Bitcoin assets, has officially been deprecated by its parent company. As of April 1, 2026, the app will be removed from app stores and enter an 'export-only' mode.
Users are urged to export their assets or private keys immediately, as losing access to the wallet may result in a total loss of funds. The shutdown is part of Magic Eden's corporate pivot, which has seen the company abandon its NFT market focus in favor of a new crypto casino and sportsbook called Dicey.
The ME token, which was once worth over $17, has plummeted to around $0.09 as investors become increasingly skeptical about the platform's survival in the competitive gambling industry.
