Binance Backs Toncoin Rebrand to Gram Amid Community-Led Revival

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has announced its support for the rebranding of Toncoin (TON) to Gram (GRAM), a move that marks a significant milestone for the Telegram-linked blockchain ecosystem.

The token swap will be carried out automatically at a 1:1 ratio, allowing existing TON holders to receive GRAM without taking any additional action. Deposits, withdrawals, and trading services for Toncoin will gradually transition to the new GRAM ticker between June 23 and July 2.

Binance stated that it will manage all technical aspects of the conversion process to ensure a smooth transition for users. The rebrand follows a community vote in which 81.22% of participants supported restoring the cryptocurrency's original name.
