Binance Funding Iranian Entities Raises Compliance Concerns

Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, may have provided significant funding to Iranian entities in recent years.

According to internal investigators, individuals in Iran accessed over 1,500 accounts on the Binance platform, with two accounts allegedly transferring $1.7 billion to groups supported by Iran between 2024 and 2025.

The transactions in question involve a primary foreign adversary that has been reportedly targeted by the US government in the past.
