ChangeNOW Introduces Private Send for Enhanced User Privacy

ChangeNOW, a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange platform, has introduced Private Send, a new feature designed to enhance user privacy on the blockchain. By routing transactions through its infrastructure, ChangeNOW makes it more challenging for analytics firms to track user activity and create profiles.

The feature is integrated into NOW Wallet and can be toggled by users during the transaction process. When enabled, funds are sent from the sender's wallet to ChangeNOW, which then forwards them to the recipient's address. The recipient sees the funds arriving from a ChangeNOW address, rather than the original sender's address.

Private Send is not intended to evade regulatory oversight, but rather to prevent the default exposure of user transactions on public blockchains. According to ChangeNOW's CSO, Pauline Shangett, 'Public blockchains were supposed to be about financial freedom, not financial surveillance.'
