XRP Edges Out Bitcoin as Tokenized Markets Beckon

tZERO CEO Allen Konevsky says XRP has an edge over Bitcoin for tokenized capital markets, citing its functional role in infrastructure. 'I have a long-term bias for native tokens that support infrastructure needs,' he explained.

Konevsky believes assets like XRP and Ether are better suited to the future of tokenized capital markets due to their structural advantages as operational ingredients in financial architecture. In contrast, Bitcoin has primarily established itself as a monetary asset and store of value.

tZERO is one of only two firms with a special purpose broker-dealer licence from the US Securities and Exchange Commission, allowing it to custody and accept crypto assets. Konevsky sees tokenization as a key driver of growth in financial markets, particularly in real estate, where regulatory complexity has hindered adoption.
