Murphy Exposes 'Pitter Patter of Rain' Corruption in Trump White House

US Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) has exposed the widespread corruption in Donald Trump's White House over the last 500 days. Speaking on the Senate floor, Murphy detailed numerous instances of self-dealing and favoritism towards Trump's friends, family, and political allies.

The senator emphasized that Trump's goal is to engage in so much corruption that it becomes 'normal.' He highlighted several specific cases where Trump or his administration have used their positions for personal gain. For example, on April 7, 2025, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche issued a memo shutting down investigations into crypto companies, despite owning up to $500,000 in crypto investments.

Murphy also mentioned that Blanche eliminated the enforcement team at DOJ dedicated to rooting out crypto-related fraud and money-laundering schemes. The senator stressed that no president has engaged in 5% of the self-dealing Trump has done in the last year and a half.
