Coinbase Wins UK License to Trade Equities and Derivatives

Coinbase has received UK authorization to provide investment services, expanding its offerings beyond crypto to include traditional financial instruments.

The license will allow institutional and advanced traders to access derivatives across crypto, equities, and commodities.

Retail users will be able to trade equities on the platform as part of this expansion.

Coinbase said the move is its largest UK product expansion to date and supports its long-term goal of creating a single platform for crypto, traditional finance, and future tokenized assets.
