Stellar Network Upgrades to Protocol 26, Enhancing Security and Usability

The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) has announced the successful deployment of Protocol 26, also known as 'Yardstick', on the Stellar network. This upgrade marks a significant milestone for the network's precision and programmability, with features such as on-chain freeze, advanced cryptographic capabilities, and precise Time-To-Live control.

The new protocol is designed to enhance security and developer usability, particularly for institutional use cases and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). The SDF has stated that these features will make Stellar more appealing to institutional players and developers building regulated financial products.
