Cardano Foundation Addresses Allegations of Large ADA Transactions
The Cardano Foundation has responded to allegations surrounding Charles Hoskinson's involvement in large ADA transactions during the 2021 bull market. NFT creator Masato Alexander published an on-chain analysis that linked early Cardano ecosystem token transfers to specific transactions, including a 925 million ADA transfer and a consolidation address receiving over 1.21 billion ADA from multiple parties.
The Cardano Foundation stated it has no direct visibility into the transactions associated with Input Output Global, but acknowledged concerns about transparency in the ecosystem. The foundation emphasized that blockchain tracking only wallet transactions, making it difficult to determine whether assets were sold or simply moved off-chain.
Charles Hoskinson was accused of selling a significant amount of ADA during the 2021 bull market, with some pointing out a $20 million donation announced by Hoskinson in September 2021. However, the Cardano Foundation noted that tracing techniques can provide insights into possible connections, but there are no guarantees of accuracy or intent.
