Tether Teams Up with Dubai's DMCC to Unlock Tokenization Potential

Tether, the issuer of the world's most widely used stablecoin USDT, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Multi Commodities Centre on June 16, 2026. The agreement sets up a framework for exploring blockchain infrastructure, tokenization, and digital asset education across one of the Gulf's largest business networks.

DMCC is home to over 26,000 companies from more than 180 countries, accounting for around 15% of Dubai's foreign direct investment. Its Crypto Centre hosts between 650 and 750 crypto and Web3 companies, making it one of the largest concentrations of blockchain-native firms in the region.

Tether's CEO Paolo Ardoino stated that the UAE is playing an active role in shaping digital asset infrastructure. He aims to accelerate the practical use of blockchain technology through collaboration with DMCC.
