Cryptocurrency projects Curve Finance and PancakeSwap have been embroiled in a controversy surrounding the use of proprietary code. Curve Finance accused PancakeSwap of using its StableSwap feature without authorization, citing a violation of software license terms.
The issue came to light after Curve Finance took to social media to publicly call out PancakeSwap for allegedly copying their code. In a statement on X, Curve Finance warned that the move could create legal risks and urged PancakeSwap to seek proper permission in the future.
However, it seems that Curve Finance has since softened its stance. The company stated that it would be beneficial for both parties to 'be friends and buidl together,' suggesting a willingness to collaborate rather than engage in conflict.
