Bitcoin Origins Documentary Raises New Questions About Creator
A documentary exploring the mysterious creator of Bitcoin has sparked new theories about the cryptocurrency's origins.
The film, which conducted a four-year investigation, suggests that Satoshi Nakamoto was not an individual but rather a pseudonym used jointly by cryptographers Hal Finney and Len Sassaman.
According to the documentary, Hal Finney was responsible for writing Bitcoin's code, while Len Sassaman wrote the textual content, including the white paper.
The investigation eliminated other candidates through the process of elimination, with investigators pointing out that the online activity records of Hal Finney and Len Sassaman closely matched those of Nakamoto.
Hal Finney's widow, Fran Finney, acknowledged in an interview that her husband may have participated in the creation of Bitcoin.
