Bitcoin Price Dips Below $77K as Analysts Warn of Potential Volatility

Bitcoin's price has been experiencing significant fluctuations in recent days, with a notable drop below $77,000 on Friday. According to data from Bitstamp, the cryptocurrency briefly plunged to an intraday low of $76,476 after shedding nearly $1,000 in just over two hours.

The decline pushed bitcoin's weekly losses to 3% and dragged its market capitalization to $1.54 trillion, down from $1.55 trillion on May 21. This reduction, combined with flat altcoin price action, led to a decline in the total crypto market capitalization to $2.65 trillion.

Analysts at Bitunix believe that if U.S. Treasury yields continue to trend higher, bitcoin's volatility could expand further, forcing markets to reassess its resilience under a prolonged high-rate environment.
