Wysox Overlay Approval Fails to Ease Wait for Cryptocurrency Developers
Wysox Township's recent approval of a comprehensive land use overlay plan has not alleviated the concerns of cryptocurrency developers waiting to break ground in the area. While the plan provides a framework for development, several challenges persist before the project can move forward.
The Bradford County Planning and Grants Administrator Elizabeth Burgess, Planner Cadie Anderson, and Planning Director Duane Naugle presented an update on Solteir LLC's proposed cryptocurrency mining development at a recent public meeting. During the presentation, attendees expressed their concerns about potential traffic issues and environmental impacts.
Naugle emphasized that the overlay plan is just one step in the process and that several other permits and approvals are still required before construction can begin. The developer has yet to obtain necessary zoning variances and environmental permits.
