Bitcoin Accumulation Trends Weaken Amid Realized Losses Surpass $600 Million
Bitcoin's latest correction has led to a significant shift in the accumulation trend of the cryptocurrency. Data from Glassnode suggests that whale absorption of newly mined BTC supply has dropped to all-time lows, with an absorption rate below -150%. This marks a change in institutional sentiment, particularly among large holders who are scooping up more than 150% of new issuance.
The Bitcoin yearly absorption rates by whales and sharks have also dropped sharply since mid-April, significantly below the record levels seen in November 2025. Additionally, the rate of accumulation among whales has dropped to -151%, its lowest in Bitcoin's history.
